The Cwu 9/P Was A A Mid-Layering Garment Within The Extensive Cwu (Cold Weather Uniform) Catalogue, A Clothing System Developed In The Early 1960S For The U.S. Army And Air Force. The Cwu Clothing System Was Designed To Give Better Protection To Pilots And Personel Who Were Faced With Cold Weather Conditions On Land And At High Altitudes.
Made Using A Custom Produced Quilted Nylon Fabric And Nylon/Wool Blended Ribbing. Specific Details Like The Interlock Sewing Width, Stitch Count On The Bar Tack, Grain Of Fabric, And Hand Stamped Labels Are All Faithfully Replicated Paying Close Attention To Its Vintage Counterpart.
We Have Adjusted The Pattern Of The Cwu 9/P Slightly As The Jacket Was Originally Intended To Fit Closer To The Body For The Purpose Of Being Used As An Inner Layer. Our Cwu 9/P Is Slightly Modified So It Is Able To Be Worn As An Outerlayer, Including External Hand Pockets For Convenience When Worn As Outerwear.
