Inspired By The 1960S Hunting Jacket Made Famous By Renowned Journalist And Author, Hunter S. Thompson.
The Pattern Making Of This Jacket Took Five Times The Usual Time It Takes To Make A Jacket Due To Its Complex Details And Intricate Number Of Pieces It Requires In Its Construction.
We Found When Studying The Original Jacket From Our Archive That While Most Of The Jackets Patchwork Is Sewn With The Sewing Seam Higher On The Bottom Side, Only The Right Sleeve Was Sewn With The Sewing Seam Higher On The Upper Side. This Was Likely Taken Into Consideration In The Design To Account For The Movement Involved When Holding A Rifle Under The Arm.
Matching Details To The Original Jacket, Including The Arm Positioning, The Patchworked Sections Of The Jacket Are All Sewn With Lap Seams; Using Only A Single Needle Machine For Durability And Cleaner Finish Rather Than A More Conventional Industrial Felling Machine.
